Modifications:
I mostly skip back and forth, putting 90% of weight on one foot and alternate. My heart rate stays about 115bpm.

I swear jumping rope is the most metabolically healthy activity you can do along with lifting weights. Even better if you can do it outside in the sun. I have a mat from CrossRope I use if there's a good spot for me to do it outside when it's warm enough.
